I live in Idaho and I am trying to locate a reliable source for obtaining a business grant. I have seen several ads, but none have worked out.

What sort of business, is it in a low income area, a grant from who ?
There are not a lot of just free money to start any business, there are business loans though the SBA and the such. There are some grants if you wish to open and employ enough people in certain areas, at times there are some for certain "groups" of people, But no you are not going to be given enough to operate the entire business, you will still need a lot of private funding.
