| Will an MPH degree further me as a clinical research coordinator? Lets see here. I have a BS in biochemistry and recently began working as a clinical research coordinator. I have not been working in this field for long so I am not sure yet if I will like it enough to make it a life long career. I have always wanted to go back to school and get my masters and have been very interested in a Masters of Public Health or a Masters of Health Administration. I am not sure which to choose. Also, I am not sure if either will further me in clinical research... which matters for two reasons. 1. If I am going to continue working and take classes at night, the degree would probably have to relate to my job since I would might be missing a few hours of work here and there. 2. I think I might really like research and want to stay in the field so I would not want the degree to end up useless. I also did not mention that since I have only started working recently I have not told my employer yet that I am planning to go back to school. I am really confused about what I should do. Basically, classes will start in a year so I need to start applying now. If anyone is familiar with MPH/MHA degrees or clinical research I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks! |
