| Who said slavery is wrong?
Who said it is right?
What do YOU think?
Post your thoughts on slavery, and we will do the same in return. |

| It is illegal in the US, thus it is wrong
Right and Wrong as teachings of culture, directed by legal standings. |

| Unless this is a philisophical question, I really don't get it; you might as well ask "why is rape or murder wrong?" |

| I was assuming it was a philsophical question, and a great one to play with, it was done before on here, ( can't remember when) but of course it was asked under government ?? |

So since abortion is legal in the USA, abortion is right?
The USA doesn’t always get it right and wrong with their laws |

| If it's a philisophical question then I know the answer, but it's one of those answers that most people won't accept - religion always gets in the way. |

| If you would take even a half an hour and do some historical background on slaves and slave trading - not just here in the United States but in other countries, you would not need to ask your question. The slave trade has been alive and thriving for centuries.
Being a slave means you have no rights - no rights. The person(s) who own you decide everything, usually for their behalf, not yours. You can be used to accomodate whatever their particular need is. You can be sold, beaten, starved, deprived of medical care, not allowed to communicate with family (if that is what the owner decides), used for medical experimentation, used a prostitute, used in whatever way your owner decides. You have no right to talk back, no right to your opinion, your right to your religion..... Do you get the idea yet?
So what is wrong with this? You decide. I know what side of that issue I stand on. |
