    Granite Formed?
    Hi,

I have a couple of questions that I'm trying to work with but am getting very hung up on for whatever reason, I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. :)

Q1 If the original source magma is basaltic from the upper mantle how might acid melts form to produce granites etc?

Q2 Explain how the cooling rate of a magma may cause variation in the chemical composition of the rocks which are formed?

I think Q2 may refer to Bowen's Reaction Series but I'm not sure if it is, or how to put it into words!

    Thanks
    John

Ice formed in Kelvinator refrigerator [ 7 Answers ]

Hi there. I have a Kelvinator fridge (model N369B) which has a separate freezer at the bottom. The freezer works fines but the fridge forms ice in the inside at the back of the fridge near the cold metal plate (condensor plate). Would you show me how to repair the ice forming? Thanks, Adam
