| Pretty sure that's their home base, in Stevens Point.
Are you going to visit there? It's a nice area, but by no means is it a metropolis type place to go. It's pretty much smack-dab in the middle of Wisconsin, and there are some great rock formations in the area, especially near the Wisconsin river.
If I remember correctly, there are some neat cranberry bogs in the area, but I don't know if that's something you'd want to go see or whether it's open to the public or not.
Point Brewery should be on your tour, though, if you visit. Not exactly the world's best beer, they have been brewing for ages, and it's a good example of the many breweries in Wisconsin.
Um. I think there are a few great lakes for fishing in the area, and of course there's the Wisconsin River for fishing as well, if you like that sort of thing.
Depending on how long you're in the area, and what your interests are--Wisconsin Dells is about an hour and a half away, and Circus World Museum (really really cool) in Baraboo is only an hour away.
Appleton (home of Harry Houdini) is about ....hmm...I'd say an hour or so away, maybe a bit over that, and Green Bay (home of the Packers) is about the same.
I guess I don't know WHAT to say about it, since I don't know your interests or how long you'll be there. |

Thanks! |

| These names had nothing in common ,
or so I thought.
About Stevens Point, I heard so much about it
and always would have liked to visit.
I have been to the United States four times
from Australia, I visited the EAST and the
WEST.
I have been to Florida as well, but never
the middle of the U. S.
Believe it or not , my grandson lives in
ARKANSAS. |
