Maple tree

Hi,
I am removing maple tree and I want to plant Dogwood close to that area. How can I remove maple tree roots to plant Dogwood?

If it is a very big tree, you will need a stump grinder, rental or pro.

For a smaller tree, dig down around the roots and cut them off back a ways. This is a lot of work. It helps to finish the job by pulling it out with a truck or tractor.

Some people work at burning the stump out.
