    Ficus tree decling heath
    My ficus tree is ailing.It's watered regularly with plant food and in indirect light but it is still losing green leaves and is drooping.any ideas about how to revive my tree?

    Ficus trees are touchy. Have you had it long? They dislike getting less light that they are used to, So maybe it needs more light. Mine summer outdoors in shade.

    Yes I've had it for a couple of years now.It's a large one,it stands over 6 ft. in its pot.I keep it in front of a south facing sliding glass door.I think it gets enough light,I wonder if it needs a bigger pot?thanks for the help

    Is it sitting near a vent where the cool air is blowing on it? Also over watering it will cause this as well. I had a retail florist for 29 yrs and have seen too many overwatered.

    I give it 1gal a week of water.should it be in a really large pot?

    Can you look at the bottom of the pot? See any roots coming out?

    It may need replanted if you have had it in the same pot you got it in a few years ago. Also, a gallon a week may actually be too much. I give mine half a gallon per week and it lives outdoors on a porch facing west during the summer. I live in the deep south of the US, so we get HOT summers.

    You may very well be over watering it. It needs to have drier roots than what you are giving it and over watering could be causing "root rot"
