    Bees in my pine trees
I have a lot of bees that are in several of my pine trees. How do I get rid of them without hurting my trees?

If you have a local Agriculture Dept near you maybe they could give you the phone number of a person who knows how to remove the bees for you without killing the bees. Since the bees may be honeybees, the person may be interested in them to keep. There are ways to remove bees without harming your trees or the bees. Don't use insecticide on them as we need all the bees we can get right now due to the mysterious empty hive disease going around. Please give them a call.

Bees are generally harmless, and, as an old beekeeper, I can tell you that they are difficult to get angry enough to die, by stinging you. Usually, only when the colony is threatened will they get hostile, though they may buzz you away if you are interfering with their work. They are absolutely fascinating as a society, and invaluable to us. Do some research on them, before you panic.

I love bees. If they sense you won't harm them, they will not bother you. I don't get upset around them, some come to me and sit on my arm for a second or two and I get a good look. Lotsa flowers, lotsa bees, wonderful combination for a happy garden.
