freelotto winner on 28 october

i opened my mail box in gmail and found several new messages one of which was from a site called "where are you now" or WAYN. i clicked on this link and saw a flashing icon that said "this is not a joke! you are the 10,000th user.click on this for more information" or something along those lines. when i clicked on this link, there were several procedures that i had to follow - which i did and eventually there appeared a list of winners from freelotto.com who had either been "paid" or were "pending". in my case, my name appeared three times with the amounts beside them - 30,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000 US$. there was even a cheque displayed with my name and amount attached with the freelotto stamp on it. i was supposed to fill in several of my details after seeing the cheque, but then i could not fill in my credit card details because i had left my credit card at home. i thought that maybe i would find the same questionaire monday morning, but that did not happen.

my question is was it for real and i thereby forfeit my winnings since i cannot locate the winnings and the cheque or was it just someone playing on my mind?

Just keep this mind when another scammer tries to hook you:

1. You can't win a lottery you never entered.

2. If you won a money prize, why would they need your credit card info? They could take whatever costs needed to mail your prize out of your earnings.

Good thing you didn't give them your cc info. They would have maxed it out and you would be left with nothing but mess to clean up.
