Upholstering a barstool

Does anyone know the tricks associated with upholstering a round barstool? It's not as easy as it looks. I made a patttern from the old fabric, but it's difficult to put the new material on without puckering....Appreciate any help or direct me to the appropriate website...

Thanks

you will have either puckering or folds...I prefer folds. Looks much neater.....

Staple down one end then the exact opposite end and then directly diagonal...and so on..

*blushes* Thanks! I recently reapholstered four bar stools for my "father figure", he loves em.....I have no clue what I was doing either...I just took them off, undid what was done, and redid it with new fabric and more cushion in the same fashion...

I have a bigger project in the field now though, that a question may soon pop up about. I have an old victorian queen anne style chair that has the most hideous fabric and scratched wood....but it's heaven for my tush...SO COMFY!

I'm gonna redo it in in light light finish and green stainy fabric...we'll see what happens :P
