Need to sell furniture to person/store without posting info to the classifides
I need to sell my grandmother's furniture asap. I thought I could locate a business that would buy old furniture, in a good condition, but I have been unsuccessful. I don't mind selling directly to an individual, but that seems so much harder. I've surfed the Internet and asked several friends, but still can't seem to come up with a way to dispose of what I have, without donating or throwing it away. Don't get me wrong - I am all for donating, but would much rather get something for the quality of furniture I am trying to see.

Your help would be appreciated. I'm looking to sell the following:

    Oversized couch (about 90" long)
4 armed living room sofa chairs
1 dining room set, which includes a china cabinet
1 bedroom set, which includes a dresser (9 drawers), chesser (5 drawers) and 2 oversized night tables.

    Thanks!

There are furniture buyers in every city, here in Sparta TN ( town of 5000 people) we have 4 used furniture stores that buy one piece to an entire truck load. There are also consignment shops that allow you to place things in it. Now remember your 'quality" funiture is used junk for most.

Also most places have auctions ( we have 2)

So there is almost no place that would not have some place.
But don't expect to be paid a lot,

How far would a person have to travel to pick up this furniture if they bought it.
