I found this article on how to take care of leather. It recommends the use of saddle soap but another article said not to use saddle soap. Where did you buy the chair? I would go to the furniture store and ask if they have a product that they carry in stock.
No dont use any cleaner it will damage the leather, either saddle soap witch can be bought from your local saddlery or a proper leather cleaner that can be found in most furniture shops.
My family had a high-end furniture store for years. We found that Murphy's Oil Soap is an excellent product for cleaning leather. You may also use Lexol, which is available at most auto parts stores and Wal-Mart.
