what type of charity do you want to help

you have food kitches, you have the united way, there are dozens of events in every city.

Even my own church has a elderly ministry, a teen off the street ministry, a food kitchen where we feed homeless for lunch.

There are simular in every city.

My company supports various charities during Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. This year we are just donating money to the local homeless shelter and ask that each employee contribute any amount between $5 and $200. Check to see if your company can do something similar. If you want to do it on your own, you can give them money or volunteer your time. They would appreciate both.

Hi, NJROTC!

I do have an additional idea for you other than that which has already be presented.

How about speaking with local city officials and maybe some churches about what might be a good thing for which to have some sort of benefit event? When you know who the person or charity is, then you could organize some others who might like to perform music for free and have a cover charge for others to get into the event and also encourage the others to bring things that might benefit the person or the charity.

A local church or community center of some kind might even be willing to donate the use of their facilities for the event.

Just some thoughts for you...

Thanks!

A simple way to get money is to do something inexpensie like a car wash. All you have to do is find someplace that will let you use their parking lot and you should get some friends and you are set!
