Hey guys my AVG has told me that it will no longer be free. So i am now looking for some new FREE antivirus software. I stumbled across avast! 4 Home Edition - FREE antivirus software and i was wondering if it is good or not? If anyone can recommend anything else that would be great to. Thanks.

I used Avast for a couple of years on my XP machines with great results.
My wife just switched from AVG to Avast just recently and she likes it.

If you find you are not happy with AVG, I recommend Avira's AntiVir Free version.

I have been using it for about 6 months now and have never had any problems. There are fewer ads, it updates every day, and does so quickly, it scans more processes and does so much faster than McAfee ever did.

I give it an A+ for now.
