the ignore list?

when you add someone to the ignore list...does this add them to the "rating the answer" option??

Huh? The ignore list is only for people you want to ignore. You cannot see their posts, and I believe they cannot see yours.

I had rated someone with an AGREE and I guess I was agreeing with the wrong part of their answer because they went and made it to where I couldn't rate their answer unless I had more reputation. I am asking because I got a disagree rating for "I believe" no reason. How was the person able to take me off their rating option? Am I explaining well? or is it still confusing??

Oh, I understand now. They did not take you off their "rating system." You are only allowed to rate a person once, and then you have to rate a number of other posters prior to being able to rate that first individual again.

In this way members of the board do not abuse the rating system by either giving numerous disagrees to someone they don't like, or giving numerous agrees to someone they like wheter the advice was good or not.

Oh, I see. So you cannot specifcally say that someone cannot give you a disagree or agree? Thanks for the help.

Comments on this post
J_9 agrees: You see, now I can't rate you again until I give ratings to other members first. It prevents abuse of the rating system.

What I am saying is that I could agree with your answer above......but I could not agree or disagree with another one of your answers for a certain time period. I would have to rate at least 5 other members before I could rate you again.

It stops someone from just following you around and doing a disagree with everything you post. It is a pain some days, I have a few people who need a few agrees more often, but have to spread it around
