Why does it send me back to the first page of the thread after posting a agree/disagree comment on someone's post? Is it only me, or does everyone get sent back to page one too?

That does not happen to me.

Well, it did, once. When I didn't check off "remember user name and password".

I usually keep it checked, and have no problem.

valinors_sorrow : thanks and i tried it again here and cannot find anything about username and password to click, just the window that allows for making a comment to your post?

I have to modify my question since I have been experimenting and have experienced it also sending me to a more recent page when I commented on a post several pages back. So it seems it sends me to a different page unless there is only one page. What's up with that?

Ok, I just did it and returned to the post showing the comment...not the top of the page.

valinors_sorrow : I would have thought it would do that, but in multiple page threads I seem to take a trip to anywhere but there, lol

Hey, Rick,
After clicking on the "Comment" button or "add comment", whatever, it returned me to where I could see the comment I just added; not to the top of the page.

Hi, Valinors,
I like your signature line...about ordering around someone else's dog!!
Thought I had made friends with one of my best friends' dogs, a Sharpe` (don't know how to spell it). Was going to take it for a walk.....Wrong!

Oops, sorry bout that Valinors...I see you clarified earlier that it's only on multiple page threads.

I'm checking it out now...

Thanks! (and y'all can call me Val)

I had to post here as I can't rep ya just now..
and even though this is a bit off topic, I just have to tell you that my former dog was a black Chinese Shar Pei and he was such a cool dog!!

I was so devastated after he died (at the too-soon age of six) that I couldn't even speak his name aloud for a whole year without risking major eye leaking.

I could write pages about that dog. Anytime someone wants to know about those "funny wrinkle dogs", just ask me, okay?

I just inserted a test post at page 6 of a thread, here:
http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/artific...tml#post123545

After commenting on it I did return to the post itself. Feel free to comment on that post and let me know where you are redirected...but since the test post is in an unrelated thread, don't post your results there...come back here to let me know.

PS...depending on your threads per page settings, the thread referred to above may be anywhere from p2 to p6.
