| You can't if your account is deleted, then all your posts will be deleted also. The posts you have made are important to those discussions. This is why you cannot delete the account.
I have no idea why you feel the need to. Just stop signing in! |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | If you are referring to your account on AMHD, you can't delete it. Just stop using it. You have two posts, one from almost a year ago and this one. So what is the need to delete? If you explain maybe we can suggest an alternative. |

| I told you, you can't delete it because that would delete your posts also, which we can't do because the threads rely on your posts.
Just create a new account and never sign into this one again. |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | There is nothing to stop you from creating another account. Many people (foolishly IMHO) come here to ask a single question and create an account name that refers to the question or problem. They start browsing around, find they like the place and start contributing more. At that point they realize their account name is an issue.
So they create a new account. Its not a problem as long as you stop using the original account. |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | Excuse me? The reasons for not deleting accounts was explained. HOW does having an anonymous screen name put you in any danger? If you want to delete a POST that you think reveals too much about you, just report it to the admins, they will delete it.
As long as you don't put any personal info in your profile, I don't see how just having an account puts you in any danger. |
