What level of school are you in? High School? College?

Try talking to some of your local law enforcement. Does the school you attend not give you any help in locating employment?

I am surprised they don't offer intern ir externships where you can practice your skills.

Your best bet would be to make an appointment with your advisor and ask him/her these questions as they are more familiar with your area and the employment located in your area.

One of my oldest son's friends is graduating with an Associate's degree - he lucked out with a part time job placement during college with the country coroner. He is pursuing his degree in another state and plans on working for the Hennepin County (in MN) coroner's office. A good foot in the door.

If there are no positions at the coroner's office, volunteer your services. You might get the grunt work, but you have to start somewhere. Other places, other than the morgue, are the homicide detective dept of your police and the highway patrol.

Good luck. It is a rewarding job that not everyone has the constitutiion and dedication to detail.

hey, im doing the same thing you are. But i dont do the body thing. What do you want to do? Look up forensic medicine. To work in their you would probable be considered a medical examiner, actually running tests on toxics in the body, COD (cause of death) and go to crime scenes to examine the body. Look up this before what you were trying to look up
