Pop Warner Football, POLITICS?

What do you think about pop warner football? My son has played for a long time now and we love the fact that he likes football, it just seems really hard to deal with a VERY political league. Just getting him on a team is hard enough let a lone getting REAL info from coaches. Anyone have any suggestions? Oh just to let you know, the leader of the league is just the same.
