Depends on how you're storing them - refrigerated around 40 or so degrees Fahrenheit, yes? Also depends on whether you take them out and let them warm up and then cool them down and so on.
I've kept fresh eggs for a month past the sell-by date. If a doubt as to whether they are good or not, you can 'float' the egg in a container of water - if it floats to the top, it's prolly bad so let your S.O. crack it open to check while you go out for the mail...
