You can't. Seriously, there is no way you can lose that much weight, even if you went on a total hunger strike.

Is there a reason you have to lose that weight in that time? Or would just looking good do the job?

You can't lose 60lb in six weeks, but you can definitely change your shape and general appearance.

Start by cleaning up your diet. Drop all junk food, processed food and all white carbs like sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, breakfast cereals (oatmeal is the exception). No pizza, fries, cake, sodas, you know the drill.

Eat ONLY when you are hungry. You can't lose weight while you are force-feeding yourself. Make each meal the best you can manage. Each meal should have a quality protein, a healthy fat and a green vegetable. Drink lots of water.

Get lots of exercise. Be as active as possible, walk everywhere, climb stairs, carry your shopping, dig the garden, ride your bike. If you have gym, go and learn how to lift weights. Concentrate on compound lifts like squat, deadlift and bench press, they are the ones that will reshape your body.

Go to bed early. Turn off the tv. There is evidence that lack of sleep and watching tv tend to increase obesity.

Suggested diet:
Breakfast: Couple of scrambled eggs (there's evidence that eggs for breakfast makes you feel less hungry all day long)
Lunch: tuna and huge green salad.
Dinnner: chicken or lean meat, lots and lots of broccoli.
Snack/supper (only if hungry) cottage cheese.

Not possible... It takes time, esp. to loose that much weight...

Eat 6 times a day, more frequent meals make your metabolism faster..
Have a big healthy breakfast and you will eat a little less during the day..

Workout at the gym.
Don't eat junk food.

Be persistent and patient..

Not convinced of this, and I've never found research to back it up. There is a thermic effect of eating, but it's about 10% of the calories eaten. So if you eat 2000 calories at one sitting the TEE is 200 cals. If you eat ten meals of 200 calories each, the TEE is 20 cals per meal x 10 meals = 200 cals.

Bodybuilders often eat six meals a day, but that's because they often have to eat so much food, they phyically can't get down enough if they only eat three times a day.

For someone who is overweight, eating six times a day is not necessary and will develop the habit of eating when not hungry.

I believe a better approach for someone who has significant weight to lose is to eat ONLY when you are hungry, and to stop eating as soon as you are not hungry.

Eat six times a day but still limit calories and you wont overeat.
Bodybuilders eat that much because they need energy or proteins constantly and try not to deprive the body of it.

It's like that "Drink lots of water to lose weight" thing. Sounds logical but never proven.

Something to bear in mind with six meals a day is that your calories are low, each meal is going to be tiny. 1200 cals (a cutting level for a woman) is only 200 cals per meal, which is pretty miserable.

But if she wants to loose weight that's good. Vegs for example aren't very dense in calories and you will need to eat a nice amount of them to get that much .. Plus 1200 cals a day is just too little ...even for weight loss. unless a girl is very small and inactive...
