    Car amp & subwoofer help
I have 2 rockford fosgate power hx2 12 inch woofers in a sealed box powered by a 2000 watt earthquake digital amp. They sound pretty good but i feel they should sound way louder than they do. I also have a problem blowing the fuse for the amp and im wondering what may be causing it. Im thinking of adding a battery to the amp and rewiring the system. Do you think the battery is necessary and what size power cable should i use for the amp. Also, is it better if i put the woofers in a ported box. I appreciate all the advice you can give me, so i can get the max out of my system. Thanks... c. arreola

Blowing fuses? I hate that, but when you are messing with the power or ground cable on your amp be sure to disconnect it from the battery or you will blow that fuse. You should use 4 gauge wires at the least, my amp is a 1600watt boss for my two 12's and I am using 4 gauge wires. Good luck with your system

I agree with the first guy a lot but to get the max out of your system, turn the bass all the way down and subs up, I have a sony explod head unit powering my 4 10' interfire subs and I get enough to rattle about everything lol good luck
