It would be a good one to work an your cardio. Running, push ups, sit ups and so on. This would do wonders for your game. Plus eating right could make a difference. As well as plenty of fluids like water. Try to keep your electrolytes up when working out ever playing any sport. Hope this was a help.

You appear to have plenty of time to get ready for the fall.... Here's a few pointers that I was told to concentrate on.

Your Legs... Thighs, inner and outter...
Your calves... This will assist your overall jumping skills.
and plenty of cardio.

Other than that... you should just focus on brushing up on your bumps, passes, sets, and spikes. Working the legs will allow you the opportunity to get a nice jump and a more vertical spike.

Eat healthy... and if you can. PLAY SOME SAND VOLLEYBALL... this will for sure get your legs where you want them. Sand Volleyball is much more challenging... just be careful not to injur or sprain your ankles.
