getting 6 pack abs.

I want to get 6 pack abs. It looks so cool on people who actually have it. I just signed up for the gym, and I want to know how to use my gym time wisely to get 6 abs. The reason I signed up was for that anyways, so I'll probably try to stick to whatever advice seems most reasonable.
H that every time I sit down, it puffs out. Its the real culprit that covers up my muscles. HOW DO I LOSE IT? I don't think running, weightlifting, or those cardios work...

Diet.

Bodybuilders have a saying "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym" The fact is, you have a six pack now, it's just covered with a layer of fat so you can't see it. The trick is to strip off the bodyfat to show them off.

Sit-ups are not the best use of your gym time. Believe it or not, one of the best ways to work your abs is heavy squats. Squatting with a barbell at 80% of your maximum ability works your abs harder than sit-ups or crunches. Deadlifts and bench press are also essential. They will not only build overall muscle, they'll burn lots of calories and get rid of fat.

Also, do pull-ups, dips, stiffleg deadlifts, military press, lunges, and woodchoppers. A good ab exercise is the bicycle crunch.

Do cardio. That's any exercise where you sweat and pant for at least 20 minutes, usually longer. It gets you ft and burns calories. The fat burning zone is a myth, hard work gives better results, so expect to sweat.

Get your diet right. Lots of quality protein, healthy fats, green vegtables and very little sugar or refined carbs. Cut out the bread, pasta, white rice, cornflakes, and of course, all junk food. Lots of oily fish, fresh meat, eggs, chicken, green vegetables, some fruit, dairy, nuts, olive oil, wholegrains.

I'd do sit ups at home toe build up your abs(toning them, making them more obvious) and cardio at the gym to burn off the fat that's hiding it if I were you

Sit-ups don't tone abs. They may strengthen core muscles, but lots of exercises do that.

Actually if you want to do a home exercise, what about wood choppers? Stand with feet hip width apart, holding a dumbbell or water bottle with both hands over your right shoulder. Bring it smoothly down across your body so it finishes near your left ankle. Reverse it bring it back over your right shoulder.

Do ten, then switch sides.

This exercise works almost your whole body, but particularly your core.

You should see my abs when I am all cut up!!

Check it, Alright. You don't really need to work your abs in the gym dog. You can do the crunches, hanging leg raises and scissors but that is only going to get you so far. DIET is key as abdominal only show when your body fat is below a certain degree (lets say 12-15%). Squats, Bench Pressing, Lunges, Pull ups, Dead Lifts, Leg Presses etc.. surprisingly they ALL build a ridiculous core. So after you are done packing on Monster Mass from these workouts and you tune up your diet and jump on that tread mill.. you are going to look like one spiffy dude BRO!

Haha catch ya later!
