Exercise for Gaut disease

Hi everyone looking for some help,

I have a neighbour who suffers from Gaut disease and once they have done any form of exercise they are complaining that they are left aching and physically drained for days after. My neighbour wants to exercise and wants to keep fit but can't due to the after effects. I am looking for some advice on what exercises he should be doing and any tips for recovery during the days afterwards to enable him to exercise more.

Thanks
