I'm not sure what a "lack" is....

But I haven't lost anything in the market because I haven't sold anything. My stuff has gained back much of its value. Even my risky emerging market fund has gained back almost half what it lost. Selling it is what would have resulted in a huge loss.

May you invest in the market? Sure, we'll let you. Whether you want to or not is up to you.

However, it sounds like you know very little about it. I'd suggest if you want to invest in anything that you start by doing some research on investing -- just start with some basic information, and my personal opinion is starting with mutual funds. You can search online and there's also plenty of books out there.

It's not a get-rich scheme unless you're very good along with being very lucky. So avoid sites or books that have some magical way to get rich. No one can predict the market, and neither can the people who write those books.

Which is your first lesson: no one can predict the market, so no one knows if you can earn money or fulfill your desires. It takes learning and work, like everything else. Over the long term the market tends to grow. The market is a good place for long-term growth if you can be patient and not panic through the bad times. The market may or may not be a good place for other goals -- depends on what you want to do and if you know what you're doing.

Spend some time learning.
