Return on investment & Common Stock

Q1. I just need clarity on how to figure out the percentage return on investment if you bought a bond when the YTM is higher than the initial yield and then sold it when the YTM is lower than both? Hopefully this is clear, please advise if I should provide an example.

Q2. Is there a formula to calculate common stock value?

Thanks
