Yes this website does work! The reason the experts on here have not answered your question is because they do not answer homework assignments for students.

Also you only posted your questions a couple of hours ago.
The finance experts obviously aren't online at the moment.

ok well I did not ask for anyone to do my work for me. I posted my question, along with my answer and simply asked for clarification as to whether I fully answered the question with my reasoning. My question has been viewed several times already, however, do one has attempted to anwer. However, when I posted these two recent questions criticizing the help, here I received two smart responses. How ironic.

You're not forced to come on here and ask questions.. We all have lives and jobs and if we don't feel like answering we don't have too.. I almost answered your question but I was afraid i'd be wrong.. I'm an accounting major but I just don't quite remember how to fully do that with out looking it up..

Why don't you try to practice patience. This site is amazing and it helps people with all types of problems and just becasue YOU didn't get your answer fast enough doesn't mean that this site is worthless.. go somewhere else with your problems if you don't like it here

wow , my post wasnt even that serious for such hostile replies. As a first time user, I am just simply asking. You stated that this website is wonderful, well I dont know that yet. Excuse me for not having patience, after seeing my topic was viewed 14 times and no one replies, to even say "I may be able to help, wait" or "interesting question". I never said the site was worthless. Why are the only answer I can receive, nasty ones...

No more back and forths please.

How helpful is this website in assisting students. One person says they dont help students, someone says they dont do your homework for you, someone says this site is wonderful?

Does this site help students or not?
Who usually replies, experts or other users?

Also please note that you asked the questions and then asked why no one had not answered them within a hour or so.

All experts here do this on thier own time, no one is paid. So some my come here only every few days, some live in Ireland or Japan and may log on tonight while you are sleeping. Others only come here, it may take a couple days to get some answers, and to others it may even be several weeks before you are geeting some ansswers still.

So part of it is you were wanting them too fast., next few of us help with homework, but if you do post what you think the answer is, often within a couple days someone will come back with thier opinions.

The real trouble is that experts here normally give you real life answers, what really happens, but this is very often in many subjects not what your homework is looking for, they normally look for an answer based on a specific teaching idea

I hate to disagree, but when you post your question in this manner, yes people can start getting hostile. When you say "why aren't they answering any questions?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!'' --
it sounds very demanding.

I'm one of the ones who looked at your questions. Yes, you did attempt to answer them. In that case, it's not because we aren't here to answer your homework for you. (Someone who answered that may not have looked at your actual posts, but just answered that generically. No, we're not here to just do someone's homework for them, and we get a lot of questions with no attempts to do the work. So it's easy to answer that way.) But I saw your posts so I know that you did say what you thought the answers were.

I have to say you expect too much. You're too impatient in wanting answers too quickly. And just becuase there are some "experts" here, it doesn't mean we're getting paid to do this. We are here voluntarily, whenever we have time, of our own free choice... you cannot expect people in that situation to bow to your every beck and call. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that sounds like what you expect if you're that upset that no one has answered yet.

Did it ever occur to you that the people who looked at your questions don't know the answer?

Apparently not. Even though we're volunteers, it appears you think that ANY question you ask on here WILL get answered within a short period of time, because we have unlimited people, with unlimited resources, with an unlimited amount of time to devote.

I personally did not answer because I was not comfortable with the questions and didn't want to give wrong answers. (Next time I'll just answer wrong, would that be ok?) I don't see a reason why something being rented should be handled any differently than any other asset, but I wanted to look it up first if I found the time to make sure I didn't answer you incorrectly.. As for the one about the tax depreciation, I'd definitely have to look that up. I'm not a tax expert. And again, if I found the time.

We get a pretty big variety of questions on a homework forum that includes all different areas of both accounting and finance. I doubt there's one person here who knows all of it. (I sure don't.) And there are always questions that never get answered for one reason or another, possibly because maybe no one knows the answers.

Let's turn this around. Let's say you're a plumber and you've offered to do work for your brother for free. Would you appreciate it if you brother called and left a message that he needed a pipe cleared out, and then was bugging you 2 hours later because you hadn't gotten to it yet, even though you were doing it voluntarily and even though you actually have a real life outside of doing plumbing?

Your attitude makes me not really care much whether I ever look up your questions or not. It's a whole heck of a lot nicer when people appreciate that we're volunteering our time to do what we can.

Have I made myself succinctly clear enough?
