Cash vs Accrual

Hello,

I need an example of ....side by side, if possible of a cash basis income statement versus an accrual basis income statement.

i.e. how would I put this on the statement??
Sold instruments to customers for $10,000; received $6,000 in cash and the rest on account. The cost of the instruments was $7,000.

thanks!!

RThomas
