Accounting Earnings Per Share

I am having some trouble getting the answer to this question, I have tried and tried.

Question: ABC Inc.'s capital structure on December 31, 2003 included 5,000 shares of $2.5 preferred stock and 120,000 shares of common stock. During 2004, ABC Inc. issued stock and ended the year with 127,000 shares of common outstanding. Average common shares outstanding during 2004 were 123, 500. Income from continuing operations during 2004 was $371,885. The company discontinued a segment of the business at a gain of $69,160, and an extraordinary item generated a loss of $49,510.

What are the earnings per share?
