For every bad answer your give, or someone just disagrees with you, you get a red box, and this deducts from your "points."

These "points" really do not matter to us who have been here for a while, but you will see that new users really like to get them.

The better answers you give, the more "points" you will receive Just be sure to give accurate advice. Like in medicine or law we are really picky about actual factual advice.

I had someone disagree with me, they said the reason "you disagree with me so i will disagree with you" So its not always about liking or not liking your answer i think.

That is how the more shall we say immature people of the site use it. Now, I am not referring to anyone in person, I did not even look at your points to even know who it was. But the statement you made above just shows immaturity.

Please read this as to how points should and should not be used.

I am sorry someone treated you in that manner.

Having said what I said above though, I have now looked through your profile and now understand why it is you got that negative rep. I won't say whether I agree or disagree with it. But I do understand why you got it.

No please explain? This was my disagree "Smee disagrees: I conclude that you are a waste of time...disagree" I quoted what he said about the young man who asked a question. I disagreed with him saying the guy was a waste of time.
These people laughed about the questioners english skills "LMAO" among other put downs they drove him to send me a personal message saying he now wished he were dead because these people were so mean when all he wanted was to ask and discuss something important to him..he is only 15!! Clearly there are cliques here who join to put down people laugh and make fun.

I agree that that post got completely out of hand. But now we are embarking on stealing the thread of this OP. If you wish to discuss it in private please PM me. Or you can start a Member's Discussion regarding your concern.

OK, so what's the difference between the light green boxes and the dark green boxes? I've been assuming dark green is associated with agrees from new members with <10 posts...

Do you get points for just replying "Agreed" or "Noted" to a post?
