The Psychics and Fortune Tellers Board

A member has suggested that the board be changed to Psychics and Mediums, as "fortune tellers" is "archaic". Are Mediums and Psychics not the same thing? Other opinions?

Hi Rick, Sorry but I did not find the link you are referring to. Can you provide a link to it please? Also, it appears that the poll on the new name for this board is leaning towards "Psychics and Mediums" which is what I had originally suggested to cover all the bases. At what point will the name be changed so that questions may ensue? Thanks.

Psychics and Mediums sound much better than psychics and fortune tellers. ALTHOUGH Psychics are in a similiar field to fortune telling. Mediumship is in a class of it's own.

And yes you're right most mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums.

Then of course you have the genuine ones (few and far between) and the none genuine ones as im sure you know.

and apparently somewhere along the line they decided to change it to psychics because no where do I see psychics and anything.

We debated the name of the board and after looking at definitions, decided on Psychics alone.
