One more word about location

I would have added this to Rick's post but he closed it. The profile provides a place to list your location. You should not be very specific in identifying your location. If you live in a large city you can identify the City and country. If you live in a small city, just identify the county or region and the country. At lease identify the country. For example I live on Long Island in the state of NY in the USA so I list myself as LI, NY. That gives people an idea of the region I live in whitout pinpointing my location.

If you all included some general area in your profile, that might help with such questions.

I tend to put the nearest large town to where I live. That way, people have a good idea but they couldn't get close enough to be able to find an exact address. Living in a rental property helps too.

Again good point. In dogs, details like age, altered, size? In HVAC forced air, hot water, heat pump? In plumbing today, I was guessing Manchester meant UK. I guess in computers you can figure Windows unless otherwise given, but which one?

PS, Scott, did you read the Pointy mail I sent you last week?
