multiple postings

Not sure if this goes here but it is driving me crazy.
I try to link multiple posts together to make it easier for people that can do something about it to merge them. Would it be possible to do a thing where you can't post another question within so many hours apart because it seems to me they think asking multiple times will get them more replies or they don't know how to find the replies they get so they try again. If they can't do multiple posts within an hour or so maybe they will get more familar with the board in the meantime so they see they don't need to do multi's.

Also is stuff like this http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/addicti...e-56760-2.html a computer/site glitch or is it people being impatient.
I know when I get impatient because I see something doesn't seem to be going through right I go hitting the send button two or three more times and it still doesn't do multiple posts like that.

there is already "flood control", but as you have already noticed some people repost the same thing after a few hours have passed.
The one you highlighted is indeed a glitch and has been taken care of.

if in doubt RIP it and we'll action as appropriate..

Yesterday I noticed at least twenty posts by the same few people one right after the other in a matter of minutes in the latest unanswered questions.
What is RIP it?

Look to the upper right of the box surrounding the post for the "Report Inappropriate Post" link. Click it and give a short reason, such as "duplicated post", in the dialog box.

okay thanks I thought it had to be actually inappropriate to use that button like spam or vulgar or something like that.

Basically use RIP for anything you want to highlight to us.
After all we can't read every post made

Anyone else see the irony in RIP for these instances? hahaha. Glad to know this, I have been doing that and was afraid I was "overly enthusiastic" about using the RIP method.

There are only a limited number of MODs. We can't be everywhere so the RIP (and yes the irony of that acronym is not lost on us ) is essential for informing us that something needs to be looked at. Do not be afraid of overuse of the feature. If we feel you are being a little too enthusiastic, we will let you know privately and politely.

But we would rather just ignore reports that aren't appropriate then miss something that should be actioned.
