Censorship in Christiany Forum?

The moderator does this forum a huge disservice by so blatantly censoring questions. It sure looks like he/she is afraid that people might actually have to think for a change.

I posted what was clearly a Christian question about a biblical passage only to have it moved to 'member discussions'. My question is, what are you afraid of?

Oh, by the way... I fully expect this post to be deleted or moved just as quickly.

lobrosbster, I dont know what you mean. I read your post in member discussions and saw the answers. I think it is worthy of member discussion.

Lobrobster.....I haven't a clue what you are talking about. But when a post is moved to the members discussion board it is so that people cannot throw disagrees around randomly and hurt the ratings of other members. I'm sure your post is the the Religion forum of the Members Discussion Board.

Comments on this post
tickle agrees: yes, its in the christianity forum where it shouldnt be tossed around and answered correctly.

If I'm wrong, I profusely apologize, but I am 99.9% sure I posted this in the religion/Christianity forum. It is now in member discussions where Christians are less likely to see it.

Do I just don't know how these forums are structured and/or work? That's possible and if so, I apologize.

Lob, it has been moved to the Christianity forum of Members Discussions so that folks cannot through around disagrees left and right. It can remain a discussion without members' reputations going to pot.

Yes Lobrobster you are wrong. Just because it is actually will be better in member discussions as J9 brought up good points about the some of the reasoning behind it. As far as Christians are less likely to see it. How do you figure?

I guess I have to go back and acquaint myself with the different forums. In my home page there is a religion category and in that there are the main different religions in which Christianity is one of them. This is where I thought questions specifically involving Christianity would be appropriate.

There is also a member discussion area where religion is a topic. Just my opinion, but I don't see how a question about a passage from a Christian bible is more appropriate there than in the Christianity forum. I strongly suspect it was moved simply because the mod didn't like the question. Whatever...

Normally posts that would end up in most of the posts being deleted for violation of rules, such as attacks on other faiths, attack on christian beleifs are moved to the religious discussion area. To actually allow a more open discussion ( but still with limits)

Normally it will depend on how a thread is heading and what direction the posts are taking. Members have had to be banned for thier religious attacks on christian boards ( as they are on all other regular boards) so the discussion area allows a more open exchange within more loose limits.

also it stops the constant disagree and gets it outside the point system.

But is the Christian area monitored yes just like the skin lightening area, the plumbing area and all the areas on this site.

If you wish a question to be left on the more highly moderated area of Christian it can be, but then when many posts have to be deleted for content don't come crying about that either

I also even often involve one of the experts who is a athiest, to review some of the threads and they have always agreed to choices to close, delete and removed many of the posts when there has been a big issue about them.

This post moved since it was merely a complaint on moderating of the board.

I understand, but this was clearly a question to Christians about a biblical quote, not a religious discussion. Again, I understand the need for moderation, but I think it's a disservice to only allow easy questions. Your goal then isn't to have a true forum, but simply an advertisement for Christianity.
