ok, i am going to suggest some colors that would definitly work.

white-it really does look good
light or dark pinks-makes u seem slightly tanned
NO DARK BLUES!!!!
reds, light purples(or dark )and green!!emerald green!!

my friend kenya wore this beautiful aqua dress to our prom in high school and she looked great. bright colors are great against dark skin.

i think that bright colors are good for you. emerald green also seems to go great with dark skin. i no that you posted this in may but if you still wanted some input here it is

i think white is perfect ,something simple ,if you want a print on white it should be lace. be careful dint spill anything on it it'll make you look like an uncaring slob. no no no spaghetti straps unless you cant find a drees without them but they make you look well no good. it also depends on how old you are.
