can i be common law parter if my boyfriend is not divorced but separate 6 years now ?

help ! i lived with my boyfriend 2years and 3months now . we want to be common law partner .but his wife doesn't want to sign the divorce paper ? can we be common law couple without divorce paper ?

If she will not sign the divorce paper, they are still legally married, and you cannot gain benefits of common-law marriage unless he is not married already, I believe.

no, there is no optoin for commom law untill he is divorced.

Also where are you at, most of the US does not reconse commom law, so I would assume you live in the couple US states that do, or Canada ?

But the time to gauge commom law does not even start untill he is divorced.

Both of those posts are correct. You can call a lawyer's office to find out how long you have to live together after he is devorced to be common law because it varies greatly. In Indiana, before they stopped recognizing common law, it was way longer than two years but I know in Canada it is pretty short compared to what we had.
