What does this case mean??

I am afraid that my ex petitioned the court for a guardian ad litem from prison. He has 3 criminal cases right now and I look on the courts websiteto see what is going on. There is a new case on there and it says his name vs. Respondent. The case type is incarcerated person. That is all it says. It is also in a different county than our custody case. Any clue??

I am not sure what you are wanting to know, if you or your child was named then it could be about you all.

he could be merely getting someone appointed to do his business dealings for him. ( a guardian ad litem can be appointed for someone in prison to do thier business dealings for them and to act on thier behalf.

You are free to go to that court and review the court filings to find out what the case is about.

neither one of us was named. I was wondering if this is dealing with his criminal cases or our custody case.

Would he be able to petition the court for a GAL in a different county? Our custody case is in one county and his criminal case is in another.

usually custody cases are heard within the county of residence. your best bet is to talk with your attorney to see what is going on. He can get whatever information you need.
