What is considered child abandonment in Arkansas? Mom is a violent alcoholic.
Custodial parent threw sixteen year old son out last year in Kentucky. He is now living with non custodial father's parents in Arkansas. She does not contact the child or support him financially. What can be done? How do you go about starting it?

First this is a legal question so has been moved from the Children forum. Please use more care in choosing a forum in the future.

The father needed to immediately file for a change in Custody when the mother kicked out the son. He can still do that, once a change is custody is approved he can file for child support.
