taking her dad's rights away

My daughter is 13 months old now, and her dad is a complete danger to himself and to my child. He won't give up his rights, because that would be too easy for me. He is a heavy user of crystal meth. His temper is unbelieveable, and i'm very scared of the thought that he could have visitation rights to her. He has no job, no car, no house. All he does is buys, sells, and uses crystal meth. I recently made him mad, because i pressed charges on his friend for threatening me and my husband. Now they are threatening to "get me back" and they know that my whole life is my daughter. I need help and fast.

go to the nearest police station and report this situation and take your daughter with you. WHY WOULD YOU WAIT TO ASK HERE !!! Is there some reaason you dont want to get away from the situation, I would think your daughter would be enough reason to get out of this situation!!!

Yoju need to get a restraining order against him FAST. You then need to file for Sole custody with no visitation. From there you start proceedings to teriminate his rights. You NEED an attorney to help you through this.

Hello mom:

Couple things. First; it was only two years ago that you slept with him. Second; people don't usually start a serious drug habit out of the blue.......

Here on this board, when a recent mother wants to take away the fathers rights, I'm often times struck by how BAD she tells us HE is. I suppose she thinks we wouldn't suspect that she did meth with him....

Some of us don't suspect that, but others of us are much more cynical.
