In California inheritance law can a wife get more money than is given to her in a will?

Is there a minimum amount or percent required to be given to the wife?

In California law can a wife get more money than is directed in the will?

Is there a minimum?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone elses. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've meed your posts into one and moved your question to its own thread.

I don't beleive you can completely disinherit a spouse. But there is no minimum amount or percent that you have to leave. If the spouse is left a specific bequest that what they get.

Why do you ask?

Hard to answer without more info - California is a community property State which changes things a little bit.
