Single Parent Drama

Hello, My name is KooKoo and I am the mother of a handsome son. I never married his dad. I do not receive child support from the dad. I basically raise him alone. I want to move to another state, Do I have to get permission from the dad to do this? and how can I file for full/soul custodial rights as the single mother ?

Hello kookoo:

You sound like you've never been to court to handle all this stuff. Well, young lady, it's time. You're going to need a family lawyer. That's just the way it is. You can't do it by yourself.

Hello again, kookoo:

It takes a court order for that. You can only get one of those in court. Plus, your child is owed (at a minimum $100/month), $20,000. Can you afford to turn that down? Besides, it isn't yours to turn down. It's your childs.
