Rights of unwed mothers in FL
    Hello

To make a very long story short my daughter will be 11 in April and her biological father is threatening to take mt to court because I do not force her to see him. He lives about 2 hrs. away and is on house arrest for drug charges.Hehas a long arrest sheet for drugs and other misc. charges dating back several years. I do not forbid her from seeing him I just leave it up to her when she wants to go. He left the state of FL for @ 7 years and had no contact with her and has only been back in FL for @ 3 years. He also owes me about 30,000 in back child supprt. He pays periodically at this point. I feel that I am doing the right thing but I am tired of the fighting. I was once told that since we were never married that I have full custody, but I don't know if that is true or not. I feel that I should get a lawyer and finish this once and for all but (1) I cannot affod it and (2) I am scared that he will get visitation and I don't fully trust him with her. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly apprecitaed.

If he doesn't go to court for visitations then she really doesn't have to see him.
If he does go to court tell the Judge your concerns and tell the Judge that if he is granted visitation you feel it should be supervised.
I am not sure what age your state would say she can make the decision if she wants to see him or not. Where I live, last time I heard it was 14.

It will be up to the judge, you can try for supervised visits, or no visits but in the end if the judge rules she has to go, you may have to force her to go or face being in contempt of court. You can of course go back to force the child support issues.
