moving 2 hours away

I got a job oppurtunity 2 hours from where I am and want to take my son with me. I would be willing to bring him to his dad every other weekend plus he can have him on all school breaks and during summer. Am I asking to much or something that will not happen if I take it to court. I dont have much money but am willing to spend what I have if I have a chance.
