    P.S. The hair test has a 90 day historical time.

    What if I refuse to take hair test for child protective services
    I can't take hair test for child protective services and they required me to give a hair test and a ua I can take the ua but not the hair test

    Just a shot in the dark...
    Correct me if I'm wrong but you posted a thread about passing a Meth drug test.

    If you have been doing ANY drugs and are refusing to do the test because of said actions I really don't see how you'd be a fit parent, giving a reason for Children's Aid to intervene.

    If you are indeed doing drugs, I suggest rehab, therapy, anything to clean you up!

    If I am completely wrong then I am sorry and please give us more detail on WHY you don't want to take this test!

    If CPS has a case with you it is usually better for you and your child if you cooperate with the things they ask you to do, unless your lawyer otherwise objects. If you refuse to give a hair test it will most likely be viewed as "pressumed positive" by CPS and court. If you give clean urine tests at the same time and on a random basis the positive hair test won't be given that much weight against you. Except that you are resisting and refusing. Irritating those who can influence the direction of your case.

    You should talk this over with your lawyer.

    My opinion is you should give the hair sample since it shows history and give them a ua to show your current clean status.

    You stand to lose custody of your children for not complying with a Court Order. Depending on the circumstances you can also be jailed for contempt.

    Children's service will assume you guilty if you refuse basically, they will go to court and say you are refusing the test,

    So you will lose custody of the kids often faster by refusal, than taking the tests ( my opinion from what I have seen)

    And I will be blunt, if you were under orders not to use drugs by CPS and did anyway, you knew what could happen and put drugs ahead of the kids.

    At this point I would be getting an attorney, trying to work out a deal to go into a treatment center but letting the attorney deal with CPS and the courts.

    Not likely.They are very accurate and they can detect use from as long ago as 90 days.
