You do not need an attorney to do a no fault ( or any other type divorce) if both parties agree to all the terms and agreements.

You can find forms online and fill them out, you can get a online firm to fill the forms out for you, you can hire a para legal to do the work for you and you just take the forms to the court house and file them.

An attorney will always tell you that you NEED them, since of course they are saying you still need thier advice, and they still NEED your money.

Now an attorney may show you things you have forgotten about, issues about retirement plan money, future earnings issues and alot of things one or both parties did not know about or think to include and find out years latter one side or the other was really cheated on the deal for not having an attorney.

But you just need to fill out or get filled out the paper work and take it to the court house, pay the filing fee and it gets started.
