Moving back in with my ex wife and son - Child Support?

We've been divorced for a few months but have been a couple for 15 years. Was due to infidelity but she has come to terms with it. I am truly sorry and have learned a big life lesson.

My question is, it is better for us to live together and be a family for our son, we do get along great but, what happens to the child support payment and divorce status?

What nullify's a divorce in ny city? I'm very confused with the info available online.

If anyone can help it would be great.

Hello o:

Just because you moved back in, your divorce is NOT nullified. What nullifies a divorce is a marriage. If you want to marry her again, do that.

However, whether you get married again or not doesn't change the child support order AT ALL. You are required to pay child support until you go back to court to change it.

If I were you, just to avoid ANY possible problems in the future, I would write my wife/ex-wife/girlfriend (whatever) a check every month for the child support. I mean CHECK too - not cash. If you're married again, what difference would that make to you guys?

cjonline agrees: that is what I would do too.
tawnynkids agrees: absolutely agrees to all. Especially paying by check, proof is always best.
