my husband and i have been given temp custody by cps of his son and his half sister the mother is a deadbeat she was charged with neglect and abandonment she has gone to a mental hospital twice in the past year, the last time for threatning to kill my husband and i, we have hired an attourney b/c we want full custody. the mom cant support these kids. she cant even pay 25.00 to see her kids at the gardner place, ( a home a parent goes to to have supervised visits with their kids. ) do you think my husband and i will have any problems getting these two wonderful kids ?

His son I would say you shouldnt have a problem. It is the half sister that you may. If neither of you are the bilogical parents to this child, they have to give the biological parent the first option and go from there. Then again some states may not want to separate these kids as well and someone willing to care for this child and the government dosent have to. You may not have any problem at all.
