Can I obtain a B.C. if I don't know what county I was born?

I was adopted and I recently found out my real name. I know my mother's maiden name, no father's name and I was born in New Jersey. I don't know what county I was born. Do I have to know this information.

Well if you were born in New Jersey the only one I know of is in the U.S. If you are trying to do a search for your birth parents it would be wise to hire an agency to assist you they have many many resources to use.
