people i need you r help . several things here. will give you the back ground . been married 14 years. in april last year found a mobile bill. never opened her mail before. i opened it and found over 200 entries to a certain number. i confronted her and she admitted texting this gut for a year. she said niothing had happened. i then found porno pics on the pc they were sending to eeach other etc. she then said she had seen him but nothing happened ( several times ) . then i found a e mail saying how good last night was!!!! i was destraught as you can imagine. i went a bit mad. i am not saying what i did wads right but i cut up her clothes etc in front of her unfortunatly the kids saw this. i have in my life ever doine this. I was a police oficer. sad toi admit that i even pulled out my gun but did noit threaten her with it. we seperated in august where we sold the house. she took the equity before i could even get to the bank to take my half. she took the car and the money and the kids. she is now saying that she is going to change the names by deed poll to spite me and kill of my family name. CAN SHE DO THIS ? my name is on the birth cert. she is also going to mve away and said tough to me seeing them . she says i can have them one weekend a month. but she is making that weekend offer of a day that i am working not the other 3 that i am off so she knows i can not have them.
she is divorcing me on the above griunds but she has said that if i fight it i will never see the kids.
i need the following answered please?
CAN SHE CHANGE NAMES?
THE DIVORCE IS NOT FINISHED YET SO CAN I CLAIM HALF OF HER CAR AND HOUSE? ( her parents put the car in there name even though she uses it 24/7 to try and stop me claiming halp )
CAN I DEMAND ACCESS TO THE KIDS

You need a lawyer asap. She can threaten anything but only a judge can make the final determination, so have a lawyer representing your interest.

I agree with Tal, you need a lawyer. She can threaten all she wants. But you should be able to get reasonable visitation. You might have to undergo anger mgmt courses.

And no, she cannot change the kids names without your consent. Though they can do themselves once they gain their majority. As for distribution of assets, this is where you really need a lawyer to make sure there is an equitable distribution.

Yes you need a lawyer badly, she can do anything she wants unless you get the court to order her not to.

And you put the money from the sale of the house into a JOINT account, you did not go tot he bank with it and split it at once ????

You need to read though the divorce posts on here and see how dirty divorce is, most likely the money is gone by now, hid and you will never ever see any of it, The court can order her to pay you back, but it may never happen.

You need an attorney to file motions with the court to stop all of this
